Compact, light and handy – the EDX 12×50
The reach-through bridge allows users to comfortably hold and safely operate the EDX 12×50, even in winter with gloves. Materials such as magnesium, aluminum and polycarbonate not only ensure the greatest possible robustness in rough terrain, but also a very low weight with a total length of 175 mm and only 902 g. This compact design and shape makes these binoculars a pleasantly comfortable companion. The slim case is covered with a non-slip rubber armouring. This consists of natural rubber and thus not only guarantees durability, but also significantly higher grip and slip resistance. The indestructible metal alloy of the eyecups protects the eyepieces optimally, it is also waterproof and non-fogging. With just 1.5 turns, the entire focus range is set precisely and even the smallest details can be captured quickly. The diopter compensation for spectacle wearers is located on the right eyepiece and can be set after adjustment.
Innovative coating guarantees razor-sharp contours
With the EDX 12×50, the optical image is reproduced in maximum detail and without edge blur according to the current state of the art. This is guaranteed by the special DDlucid coating, with which the two roof surfaces of the Schmidt-Pechan roof prism are additionally provided. This coating, which originated in the Japanese photo industry, is a further development of the well-known and tried and tested ELR (Extra Low Reflection) coating. DDlucid is one of the most effective binocular compensation. Currently, only premium binoculars have such a similarly sophisticated coating.
